CASTELLI MAESTRO GLOVES
RIGHT BACK TO OUR ROOTS
The first products to carry the Scorpion logo were gloves that Maurizio Castelli made back in the mid 70s. A few years later, Brooklyn racer Giovanni Mantovani would use those gloves, and he stuck a pair away in a box. Fast forward four decades and Giovanni is a Castelli sales rep in the Lombardy region of Italy; he shows us those gloves from the 70s, and we are struck by the unique thumb construction, which was somehow lost in the intervening years but is a great way to make a glove wrap nicely around any hand position. This is our modern take on a classic cycling glove.
